(ii ) Notices of hearing on objections and challenges. The Regional Director will transmit a copy of the objections to be served on each of the other parties to the proceeding, but shall not transmit the offer of proof. In addition, extra copies need not be filed if the filing is by facsimile or electronically pursuant to § 102.5(e) or (c). A person filing objections by facsimile pursuant to § 102.5(e) shall also file an original for the Agency's records, but failure to do so shall not affect the validity of the filing if otherwise proper. The party filing the objections shall serve a copy of the objections, including the short statement of reasons therefor, but not the written offer of proof, on each of the other parties to the case, and include a certificate of such service with the objections. Such filing(s) must be timely whether or not the challenged ballots are sufficient in number to affect the results of the election. "Total cost of ownership has become the selling point of printers, and Tally is proving a winner.(8 ) Within 5 business days after the tally of ballots has been prepared, any party may file with the Regional Director objections to the conduct of the election or to conduct affecting the results of the election which shall contain a short statement of the reasons therefor and a written offer of proof in the form described in § 102.66(c) insofar as applicable, except that the Regional Director may extend the time for filing the written offer of proof in support of the election objections upon request of a party showing good cause. "It is evident that corporate buyers are more interested in the quality and long-term performance they get from their printers than an easy buy at the lowest purchase price," Terry concludes. However, it is in the 24-pin category for impact printers delivering over 500cps that Tally really showed its class and dominated, gaining 84.6% market share, its two other rivals not even managing to reach double figures. When combining sales for all dot matrix printers in this speed segment, Tally commands almost 47% market share and a contribution of over 36% to the market value share. Looking at the 24-pin dot matrix section, Tally finished second with just over 32% market share. "More than half of the 9-pin dot matrix printers sold in this segment were Tally T2240s, known for their superior performance, reliability and service infrastructure." Terry adds that the Tally T2240/9 and T2340/9 range of dot matrix printers were the reason for this success. "Our closest competitor only managed to achieve a 26% share of the market." "Not only did Tally printers win in this segment, but we took 50.6% of the sales, more than half the market share," adds Terry. In the category for 9-pin dot matrix printers delivering speeds of 350cps to 499cps, Tally again took the honours. "Tally sales also garnered over 46% of this segment`s total value for the second quarter." "In the market segment for printers producing speeds of 500 characters per second (cps) or more, Tally commanded 44% market share, more than double its nearest competitor," says David Terry, GM, Tall圜om, local Tally vendor. After storming the line-printer rankings in the latest BMI-TechKnowledge Quarterly Printer Market Tracker, Tally impact printers have also come out on top in a number of the dot matrix categories.
